Glenn Hamer has been the pastor of Woodville Baptist Church since June 1988.  He has pastor churches since 1970. He was lead to the Lord by his mother at the age of ten.

He married Linda McKinney in 1969 and has one married son, Eric and his wife, Bev, and four grandsons, Corey, Brandy, Chase and Luke.

He is heard on two radio stations.  He writes devotions, newspaper articles, puppet scripts, Bible Studies, and more.

Worship

We believe that God should be the center of one's life, and worship is where we anticipate the presence of God and celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ.

Excitement is a key goal because our faith is exciting. We seek to achieve it through both traditional and contemporary activities, congregational involvement, and a diversity in our music offerings.

Worship is where we utilize our people's variety of talents and gifts to develop an atmosphere in which there is an encounter with God that you are eager to repeat and where next week is not a clone of the last.

You will hear the Bible preached in sermons that touch the heart, address the intellect, explore the spirit, spark the imagination and strive to make a change in your life.
 

Danny Jones started playing the piano at the age of twelve. He discovered he had been given a gift from God. He has been playing for over 30 years.  He has been the Minister of Music at Woodville since September 2006.  In 1984 he married Angela Allen and they have 3 children: Israel, Reba and Ethan.

His family traveled together nationally in an evangelistic ministry for fifteen years, until 2005. He writes and records music for churches, radio, television and movies.

We invite you to surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ

To become a Christian one must:

Believe by faith that Jesus is the Savior and Lord (Ephesians 2:8).

Confess your sins. This is facing your sins, admitting those sins, and agreeing with a holy righteous God that you are a sinner (Romans 10:9-10 & 1 John 1:9).

Repent of those sins.  This is being remorseful for breaking God's standards.  It is asking to be forgiven and turning away from your sinfulness toward God (Acts 3:19, 8:22 & 26:20).

Surrender your life to the Holy Spirit's guiding. This is promising to let Jesus live a holy life in you (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
 
 

We invite you to become a member of Woodville Baptist Church

  • By baptism.  Following the steps above, one is baptized by immersion.

  • By transfer of membership from another church.  Coming from another church in which you have made a profession of faith and been baptized by immersion.

  • By profession of faith in Jesus Christ.  You have surrendered you life to Jesus and been baptized by immersion but have never been a member of another church.

  • By restoration.  Those who have been disciplined may return to full membership upon recommitment to God.
