KNOW THE TRUTH

John 8:31, Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32 and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 1:17, For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

LIE BRINGS BONDAGE

Some "forbid marriage and demand abstinence from foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth".

1 Tim 4:3, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods, which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.

Some have "swerved from the truth by claiming that the resurrection has already taken place.

2 Tim 2:18, men who have gone astray from the truth saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and thus they upset the faith of some.

Light needed for truth

Some bound because they walk in darkness.

1 John 1:5, And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6, If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7, but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8, If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10, If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

SOME ARE BLINDED BY gOD OF THIS WORLD

2 Cor 4:1, Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, 2, but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3, And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

SOME LOOK IN THE WRONG PLACES FOR TRUTH

2 Cor 10:12, For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves, and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding.

2 Cor 10:18, For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.

JESUS IS THE STANDARD

John 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.

Phil 2:5, Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

John 15:12, "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
