ISRAEL
ISA 13:19, "And Babylon, the beauty of kingdoms, the glory of the
Chaldeans' pride, Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20 It will
never be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation; Nor will the Arab pitch his
tent there, Nor will shepherds make their flocks lie down there. 21 But desert
creatures will lie down there, And their houses will be full of owls, Ostriches also will
live there, and shaggy goats will frolic there."
WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?
NEVER
Seventeen days after Babylon fell to Cyrus's army, Cyrus entered the city. He made
Babylon one of his capital cities and assumed the title "King of Babylon."
Later king Darius destroyed the walls and gates, but Babylon continued to be an
important and active city under the Medo-Persian empire.
In 334 BC Alexander the Great and the Greeks defeated the Medo-Persian empire. He made
plans for the city to become the eastern capital of his empire. He started work to rebuild
and enlarge the temple of Marduk and the ziggurat in the center of the city. He had a
harbor dug that was large enough for 1000 war ships. However He died when he was 32 and
could not complete the work.
The empire was split four ways. Seleucus I ruled in Babylon. He took the title:
"King of Babylon." He was forced to take and retake the city. He finally
established a new capital 45 miles north of Babylon. The government and trade center
shifted from Babylon on the Euphrates to Seleucia on the Tigris.
Though Babylon was no longer a leader among cities, it did not cease to exist. The
temple of Marduk and other temples were still in operation, and it remained the main
religious center in the area.
The New Testament gives evidence that many Jews lived in and near Babylon in the first
century. On the day of Pentecost "Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout
men, from every nation under heaven ... Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and residents of
Mesopotamia," Some of these probably lived in Babylon.
In 1 PET 5:13, Peter sent a greeting: "She who is in Babylon, chosen together with
you, sends you greetings,.." Who was she? It is likely that "she" refers to
the church in Babylon.
During the Middle ages, a Jew known as Benjamin of Tudela journeyed through the region
and reported that 10,000 Jews lived in the village of Al Hillah six miles from Babylon;
second, he noted that the Jews had an active "Synagogue of Daniel" in Babylon
one mile from the ruins of Nebuchadnezzar's temple.
Late in the nineteenth century the German archaeologist Robert Koldewey visited Babylon
and began studying its ruins. He four Arab villages situated on the site. Babylon was
still inhabited at the beginning of this century.
As of February 1990, over 60,000,000 bricks had been laid in the reconstruction of
Babylon. Hussein plans to rebuild the hanging gardens and has offered a $1.5 million prize
to any Iraqi who can devise a plan to irrigate the gardens using only technology available
in ancient Babylon. The restoration began in 1978 and has been rebuilt through the hands
of over 1,800 Egyptian, Sudanese, Chinese, and South Korean laborers.
BABYLON WILL BE DESTROYED
JER 50:1, "The word which the LORD spoke concerning Babylon, the land of
the Chaldeans, through Jeremiah the prophet: 2 "Declare and proclaim among the
nations. Proclaim it and lift up a standard. Do not conceal it but say, 'Babylon has been
captured, Bel has been put to shame, Marduk has been shattered; Her images have been put
to shame, her idols have been shattered.' 3 For a nation has come up against her
out of the north; it will make her land an object of horror, and there will be no
inhabitant in it. Both man and beast have wandered off, they have gone away!"
AND ISRAEL SAVED
JER 50:4, "In those days and at that time," declares the LORD,
"the sons of Israel will come, both they and the sons of Judah as well; they will go
along weeping as they go, and it will be the LORD their God they will seek." 5
"They will ask for the way to Zion, turning their faces in its direction; they will
come that they may join themselves to the LORD in an everlasting covenant that will not be
forgotten." 6 "My people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led
them astray. They have made them turn aside on the mountains; They have gone along from
mountain to hill And have forgotten their resting place." 7 "All who came
upon them have devoured them; And their adversaries have said, 'We are not guilty,
Inasmuch as they have sinned against the LORD who is the habitation of righteousness, Even
the LORD, the hope of their fathers.' 8 "Wander away from the midst of
Babylon, And go forth from the land of the Chaldeans; Be also like male goats at the head
of the flock." 9 "For behold, I am going to arouse and bring up against
Babylon A horde of great nations from the land of the north, And they will draw up their
battle lines against her; From there she will be taken captive. Their arrows will be like
an expert warrior Who does not return empty-handed. 10 "And Chaldea will
become plunder; All who plunder her will have enough," declares the LORD." 11
"Because you are glad, because you are jubilant, O you who pillage My heritage,
Because you skip about like a threshing heifer And neigh like stallions," 12
"Your mother will be greatly ashamed, She who gave you birth will be humiliated.
Behold, she will be the least of the nations, A wilderness, a parched land, and a
desert." 13 "Because of the indignation of the LORD she will not be
inhabited, But she will be completely desolate; Everyone who passes by Babylon will be
horrified And will hiss because of all her wounds." 14 "Draw up your
battle lines against Babylon on every side, All you who bend the bow; Shoot at her, do not
be sparing with your arrows, For she has sinned against the LORD."
ISAIAH SAID ISRAEL WILL BE IN
PEACE
ISA 14:1, "When the LORD will have compassion on Jacob, and again choose
Israel, and settle them in their own land, then strangers will join them and attach
themselves to the house of Jacob. 2 And the peoples will take them along and bring
them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them as an inheritance in the
land of the LORD as male servants and female servants; and they will take their captors
captive, and will rule over their oppressors. And it will be in the day when the LORD
gives you rest from your pain and turmoil and harsh service in which you have been
enslaved, 4 that you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon, and say,
"How the oppressor has ceased, And how fury has ceased!"
ISRAEL WILL BE FORGIVEN
JER 50:20, 'In those days and at that time,' declares the LORD 'search will be
made for the iniquity of Israel, but there will be none; and for the sins of Judah, but
they will not be found; for I shall pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.'
ISRAEL WILL LOOK ON THE RISEN
CHRIST
ZEC 12:10, "And I will pour out on the house of David and on the
inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look
on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son,
and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born."
ZEC 13:1, "In that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David
and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity."
On Dec 10, 1917 Jerusalem fell to the British army led by General Sir Edmund Allenby.
Instead of bombing the Holy City, he sent his bombers over the city at such a low altitude
that even the silverware on the tables vibrated. The population was demoralized and the
city fell without a shot being fired.
ISA 31:5, Like flying birds so the Lord of hosts will protect Jerusalem. He
will protect and deliver it; He will pass over and rescue it.
EZEKIEL SAW A VALLEY OF DRY BONES
EZE 37:1, The hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit
of the LORD and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2
And He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there were very many on the
surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, "Son
of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "O Lord GOD, Thou knowest." 4
Again He said to me, "Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear
the word of the LORD.' 5 "Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones, 'Behold, I
will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life. 6 'And I will put sinews
on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin, and put breath in you that you
may come alive; and you will know that I am the LORD.' " 7 So I prophesied as
I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the
bones came together, bone to its bone. 8 And I looked, and behold, sinews were on
them, and flesh grew, and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them. 9
Then He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the
breath, 'Thus says the Lord GOD," Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on
these slain, that they come to life. 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the
breath came into them, and they came to life, and stood on their feet, an exceedingly
great army. 11 Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole
house of Israel; behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried up, and our hope has perished. We
are completely cut off.' 12 "Therefore prophesy, and say to them, 'Thus says
the Lord GOD," Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your
graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. 13 "Then you
will know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out
of your graves, My people. 14 "And I will put My Spirit within you, and you
will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the
LORD, have spoken and done it," declares the LORD. '"
ISRAEL TO BE UNITED
EZE 37:15, The word of the LORD came again to me saying, 16 "And
you, son of man, take for yourself one stick and write on it, 'For Judah and for the sons
of Israel, his companions'; then take another stick and write on it, 'For Joseph, the
stick of Ephraim and all the house of Israel, his companions.' 17 "Then join
them for yourself one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand. 18
"And when the sons of your people speak to you saying, 'Will you not declare to us
what you mean by these?' 19 say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I
will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel,
his companions; and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one
stick, and they will be one in My hand."' 20 "And the sticks on which you
write will be in your hand before their eyes. 21 "And say to them, 'Thus says
the Lord GOD," Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where
they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;
22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one
king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations, and they will
no longer be divided into two kingdoms. 23 "And they will no longer defile
themselves with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their
transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have
sinned, and will cleanse them. And they will be My people, and I will be their God.
DAVID (JESUS) WILL REIGN FOREVER
EZE 37:24, "And My servant David will be king over them, and they will all
have one shepherd; and they will walk in My ordinances, and keep My statutes, and observe
them. 25 "And they shall live on the land that I gave to Jacob My servant, in
which your fathers lived; and they will live on it, they, and their sons, and their sons'
sons, forever; and David My servant shall be their prince forever. 26 "And I
will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting covenant with them. And
I will place them and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in their midst forever. 27
"My dwelling place also will be with them; and I will be their God, and they will be
My people. 28 "And the nations will know that I am the Lord who sanctifies
Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever." '"
THE LAND WILL BE PARTITIONED
JOE 3:2, I will gather all the nations, And bring them down to the valley of
Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My
inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up
My land.
Many plans were made to divide Palistine, but they all differed from God's plan in Zec
14:2. They didn't include a corridor of land that joined Jerusalem to the other Israeli
territory.
In 1948 when the United Nations voted partition and the Jews declared statehood, the
Arabs declared war. When the war ended, the prophecies concerning partition were fulfilled
- Jerusalem was divided and there was a corridor of land joining the city to the other
Israeli territory.
ZEC 14:1, Behold, a day is coming for the LORD when the spoil taken from you
will be divided among you. 2, For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem
to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished, and half
of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. 3,
Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of
battle. 4, And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in
front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from
east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the
north and the other half toward the south.
AS ISAIAH SAID THE COUNTRY WAS
BORN IN A DAY
ISA 66:7, "Before she travailed, she brought forth; Before her pain came,
she gave birth to a boy. 8, "Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such
things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon
as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons. 9, "Shall I bring to the
point of birth, and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Or shall I who gives
delivery shut the womb?" says your God. 10, "Be joyful with Jerusalem and
rejoice for her, all you who love her; Be exceedingly glad with her, all you who mourn
over her, 11, That you may nurse and be satisfied with her comforting breasts, That
you may suck and be delighted with her bountiful bosom." 12, For thus says the
LORD, "Behold, I extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the nations like
an overflowing stream; And you shall be nursed, you shall be carried on the hip and
fondled on the knees.
ISRAEL WAS SCATTERED FOR
PUNISHMENT
ZEC 7:12, "And they made their hearts like flint so that they could not
hear the law and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the
former prophets; therefore great wrath came from the LORD of hosts. 13, "And
it came about that just as He called and they would not listen, so they called and I would
not listen," says the LORD of hosts; 14, "but I scattered them with a
storm wind among all the nations whom they have not known. Thus the land is desolated
behind them, so that no one went back and forth, for they made the pleasant land
desolate."
ZEC 8:1, Then the word of the LORD of hosts came saying, 2 "Thus
says the LORD of hosts, 'I am exceedingly jealous for Zion, yes, with great wrath I am
jealous for her.' 3 "Thus says the LORD, 'I will return to Zion and will dwell
in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the
mountain of the LORD of hosts will be called the Holy Mountain.' 4 "Thus says
the LORD of hosts, 'Old men and old women will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each
man with his staff in his hand because of age. 5 'And the streets of the city will
be filled with boys and girls playing in its streets.' 6 "Thus says the LORD
of hosts, 'If it is too difficult in the sight of the remnant of this people in those
days, will it also be too difficult in My sight?' declares the LORD of hosts. 7
"Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'Behold, I am going to save My people from the land of
the east and from the land of the west; 8 and I will bring them back, and they will
live in the midst of Jerusalem, and they will be My people and I will be their God in
truth and righteousness.''
. 11, 'But now I will not treat the remnant of this
people as in the former days,' declares the LORD of hosts. 12 'For there will be
peace for the seed: the vine will yield its fruit, the land will yield its produce, and
the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit
all these things.
THE JEWS WILL BE BLESSING INSTEAD
OF CURSE
ZEC 8:13, 'And it will come about that just as you were a curse among the
nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you that you may become a
blessing. Do not fear; let your hands be strong.'
GOD WILL ONLY HAVE ONE PEOPLE
ZEC 14:9, And the LORD will be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD
will be the only one, and His name the only one.
A NEW COVENANT TO BE MADE
JER 31:27, "Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I
will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed
of beast. 28, "And it will come about that as I have watched over them to
pluck up, to break down, to overthrow, to destroy, and to bring disaster, so I will watch
over them to build and to plant," declares the LORD. 29, "In those days
they will not say again, 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children's teeth are
set on edge.' 30, "But everyone will die for his own iniquity; each man who
eats the sour grapes, his teeth will be set on edge. 31, "Behold, days are
coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of
Israel and with the house of Judah, 32, not like the covenant which I made with
their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt,
My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, "declares the LORD. 33,
"But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those
days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them, and on their heart I
will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
REPEATED IN NEW TESTAMENT
HEB 10:9, then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Thy will." He
takes away the first in order to establish the second. 10, By this will we have
been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11,
And every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same
sacrifices, which can never take away sins; 12, but He, having offered one
sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God, 13, waiting
from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet. 14, For
by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. 15, And the
Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, 16, "This is the
covenant that I will make with them After those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws
upon their heart, And upon their mind I will write them," He then says, 17
"And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
JERUSALEM CONTROLLED BY GENTILES
UNTIL END OF TIMES OF THE GENTILES
In the Six-Day War of 1967, the Jews occupied all of Jerusalem, all the territory to
the West Bank of the Jordon, the Gaza Strip, and the Golan Heights. This included the
Mount of Olives the place where Jesus will come back to and enter Jerusalem to reign as
King.
ZEC 14:2, For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and
the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished, and half of the city
exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. 3, Then the
LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. 4,
And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem
on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a
very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other
half toward the south. 5, And you will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the
valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the
earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD, my God, will come, and all
the holy ones with Him! 6, And it will come about in that day that there will be no
light; the luminaries will dwindle. 7, For it will be a unique day which is known
to the LORD, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will
be light. 8, And it will come about in that day that living waters will flow out of
Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea;
it will be in summer as well as in winter. 9, And the LORD will be king over all
the earth; in that day the LORD will be the only one, and His name the only one. 10,
All the land will be changed into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; but
Jerusalem will rise and remain on its site from Benjamin's Gate as far as the place of the
First Gate to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king's wine presses. 11,
And people will live in it, and there will be no more curse, for Jerusalem will dwell in
security.
On June 7, 1967 when Jewish troops drove out the Arab forces, Jerusalem was under
Jewish control for the first time since A.D. 70. This shows the times of the Gentiles has
almost ended.
LUK 21:23-24, "Woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse
babes in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land, and wrath to this
people, and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the
nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of
the Gentiles be fulfilled. 25, "And there will be signs in sun and moon
and stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the
sea and the waves, 26, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things
which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27,
"And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28,
"But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads,
because your redemption is drawing near."
ISRAEL CUT OFF FOR A TIME
ROM 11:11, I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it
never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them
jealous. 12, Now if their transgression be riches for the world and their failure
be riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fulfillment be! 13, But I am
speaking to you who are Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify
my ministry, 14, if somehow I might move to jealousy my fellow countrymen and save
some of them. 15, For if their rejection be the reconciliation of the world, what
will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16, And if the first piece of
dough be holy, the lump is also; and if the root be holy, the branches are too. 17,
But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in
among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, 18, do
not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you
who supports the root, but the root supports you. 19, You will say then,
"Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in." 20, Quite
right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be
conceited, but fear; 21, for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither
will He spare you. 22, Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who
fell, severity, but to you, God's kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you
also will be cut off. 23, And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief,
will be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again. 24, For if you were cut
off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a
cultivated olive tree, how much more shall these who are the natural branches be grafted
into their own olive tree? 25, For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of
this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a partial hardening has
happened to Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles has come in; 26, and thus all
Israel will be saved; just as it is written, "The Deliverer will come from Zion, He
will remove ungodliness from Jacob." 27, "And this is My covenant with
them, When I take away their sins." 28, From the standpoint of the gospel they
are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for
the sake of the fathers; 29, for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30,
For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of
their disobedience, 31, so these also now have been disobedient, in order that
because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. 32, For God has
shut up all in disobedience that He might show mercy to all.
Israel Is Grafted Back In
REV 11:1, And there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone
said, "Rise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in
it. 2, "And leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not
measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy
city for forty-two months. 3, "And I will grant authority (compare with ROM
11:12) to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days,
clothed in sackcloth." (COMPLETION OF JESUS' SEVEN YEARS OF MINISTRY)
ROM 11:12, Now if their transgression be riches for the world and their failure
be riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fulfillment be!
TWO WITNESSES - BODY AND SPIRIT OF
GOD
WHILE JESUS WAS ALIVE IT WAS JESUS
AND GOD
JOH 8:17-18, "Even in your law it has been written, that the testimony of
two men is true. I am He who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears
witness of Me."
AFTER JESUS RETURNED TO HEAVEN TWO
WITNESSES WERE TO BE THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE BODY OF CHRIST (CHURCH)
JOH 15:26-27, "When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the
Father, that is the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of
Me, and you will bear witness also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
REV 11:4, These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand
before the Lord of the earth. 5, And if anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds
out of their mouth and devours their enemies; and if anyone would desire to harm them, in
this manner he must be killed. 6, These have the power to shut up the sky, in order
that rain may not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the
waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they
desire. 7, And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out
of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. 8, And their
dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and
Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. 9, And those from the peoples and
tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days,
(COMPLETION OF JESUS' SEVEN DAYS OF DEATH) and will not permit their dead bodies to be
laid in a tomb. 10, And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and
make merry; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented
those who dwell on the earth. 11, And after the three and a half days the breath of
life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those
who were beholding them. 12, And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to
them, "Come up here." And they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their
enemies beheld them. 13, And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth
of the city fell; and seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest
were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. 14, The second woe is past;
behold, the third woe is coming quickly. 15, And the seventh angel sounded; and
there arose loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the
kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever."
END OF THE CHURCH AGE
- LOVERS OF SELF
- WITHOUT SELF-CONTROL
- LOVERS OF PLEASURE RATHER THAN LOVERS OF GOD
- HAVE FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENY ITS POWER
- WORSHIP CREATURE INSTEAD OF CREATOR
2TI 3:1, But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2,
For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient
to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips,
without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4, treacherous, reckless, conceited,
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; 5, holding to a form of godliness,
although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these.
HOMOSEXUALITY
FORBIDDEN
LEV 18:22, 'You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an
abomination.
FORBIDDEN IN NEW TESTAMENT:
ROM 1:20, For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His
eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has
been made, so that they are without excuse. 21, For even though they knew God, they
did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations,
and their foolish heart was darkened. 22, Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of
corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. 24, Therefore
God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might be
dishonored among them. 25, For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and
worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26,
For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the
natural function for that which is unnatural, 27, and in the same way also
the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one
another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due
penalty of their error. 28, And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God
any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not
proper, 29, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of
envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30, slanderers, haters of
God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31,
without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32, and, although they
know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they
not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.
