This Internet book is a composite of much of my work in the ministry over the last thirty years. It comes from messages I have preached in churches and on the radio, and from articles I have written.
I have observed over the years many Biblical doctrines misused or neglected. Many preachers have avoided some basic, important truths while spending a major part of their time on doctrines that have questionable value at best. Many people have been confused and/or hurt by the practice of many preachers of placing emphasis on the wrong things. Arguments have resulted that are designed to defend doctrine - not to help people or find out which doctrine is true.
It is the purpose of this book to present the Truth in a simple enough style for anyone to understand if they really want to. For the person who reads just to argue or learn something to "prove his point" - I'm sorry, I can not help you. I hope I do not offend you and look forward to the time you will desire to know the Truth too.
I am not foolish enough to think I "know it all," but I do know that God's Word reaches me best when I am in the right spirit. This means when I am reading or listening with a purpose of helping others the scripture opens up for me, but when I read just to "prove my point" it almost never opens up. Don't just study to support your position - test that position to see if it's God's position too.
I pray this book will help you learn. For those who have been confused by false or misapplied doctrine, I pray this will help you clear up some points and help you become firmly grounded in the important issues.
